Just touching base with ya’ll. This Fall on Long Island has been like… Fall on Long Island. My favorite time of year. The water is still warm; even if the air is freezing [and it is freezing]. In the Fall most of our access problems go away. [ but that doesn’t mean you can stop writing letters to your local officials.] Go to LIBBA, MSA, NYCRF, or any of the Fishing Boards: STRIPERSONLINE, NOREAST.COM, etc and you will see that the very vocal fishing community want the beaches all to themselves.
Fortunately, none of that BS really matters right now. We have had more windy days than I can count. Great swell and waves. Ahhhh Fall.

Windsurfing season is here, no doubt! Long Island gets great conditions, but you need a lot of neoprene to take advantage of them.
You guys are just killin' it out east.
